chromos
Depends on the type of music you want to jam to. If you're interested in jamming with chord sheets for jazz standards and such, there's a computer program called "band in a box" I'd highly recommend. You put in the chord changes and the tempo, and it comps the chord progression so you can experiment with walking and solos. Really helped me with improv. Needless to say, live musicians will beat cds and programs any day for jamming.
bassdrummer
"The Middle" by Jimmy Eat World "Every Breath You Take" by The Police "With Or Without You" by U2 "My Girl" by The Temptations "#41" by Dave Matthews Band "Everlong" by Foo Fighters "1979" by The Smashing Pumpkins "Green Onions" by Booker T and the MGs "Tom Sawyer" by Rush "Fire" by Jimi Hendrix How 'bout that for a wild and wacky mix? Some of my favorite songs; by the way, I'm a beginner too. I'm trying to learn to play "Carry On Wayward Son" by Kansas . . . "All the world's indeed a stage, and we are merely players..." --Rush, "Limelight"
