That was when I was going through my "I'm going to be better than everyone else" stage (funny thing was, I couldn't really play anything fancy). Then I realized that the only reason I was doing that was because I was lacking confidence in myself. Now I can go into a store and play whole notes, and not feel uncomfortable.
