73 P Bass
I Saw Joe Jackson at the Webster Theatre in Hartford CT. last night. Graham Maby was awesome (as was the whole band and show); he is such a fluid melodic player. His tone was a little laking though; much different than on any recording I've ever heard (kind of boomy, bass heavy, lacking mids and highs; dubby). Maby was playing a Lackland "J" style bass signed by I believe Buck Owens(?!).He was playing through a Eden head, and a Hartke 4 x 10(he had a GK RB800 in his rack as a back-up).If you get a chance to see this band definitely go. Very fun show. "Start listening to music!". -Jeremy C

73 P Bass
Jackson's website says he lives in NYC, but he might move back to Europe after 20 years here (smoking ban).Maby's rig was miked by the way. Dan South
I've been a big Graham Maby fan for years. He supposedly lives near me and stops by the guitar shop that I frequent, but I've never had the good fortune to meet him. He used to play NS basses, if I recall correctly. "Is she really going out with him...?" P.S. Why is Joe upset with the smoking ban?? The Black Knight always triumphs!
