Saw Joe Jackson / Graham Maby last night

I Saw Joe Jackson at the Webster Theatre in Hartford CT. last night. Graham Maby was awesome (as was the whole band and show); he is such a fluid melodic player. His tone was a little laking though; much different than on any recording I've ever heard (kind of boomy, bass heavy, lacking mids and highs; dubby).

Maby was playing a Lackland "J" style bass signed by I believe Buck Owens(?!).

He was playing through a Eden head, and a Hartke 4 x 10(he had a GK RB800 in his rack as a back-up).

If you get a chance to see this band definitely go. Very fun show.

"Start listening to music!".

I've been a big Graham Maby fan for years. He supposedly lives near me and stops by the guitar shop that I frequent, but I've never had the good fortune to meet him. He used to play NS basses, if I recall correctly.

"Is she really going out with him...?"

P.S. Why is Joe upset with the smoking ban??

The Black Knight always triumphs!
