Mine. :)

Music Man Sterling

SWR 350x head

SWR Goliath III 4x10 cab

Although any gigantic Trace Elliot, Ampeg, SWR, or David Eden stack with my Sterling would be awesome.

Discipline is never an end in itself, only a means to an end.

My dream rig is whatever the cartage company has set up on the stage at the coliseum for me!

I do own some pretty good gear, but I really don't care what I play through. The expensive gear all sounds good to me. I usually can find "my sound" by setting everything flat and then spending about two minutes tweaking the dials.

what do u mean?

if u mean the effects then i will tell...

I like to make my bass sound very different for different things. i may not always use all of those pedals, but i really like to have them to toy with .

Oh, I was just harkening back to the days when punk bassists played something like this:

...into something simple like this:

A good bass (or several)

A good amplifier

Good skills

A steady gig to show it all off

Or (just for kicks, because I would like to get my hands on some of this stuff to try it out):

G&L SB-2 (or Conklin, sim to Rocco\'s)

BBE Bmax or SansAmp RBI preamp

Power amp, 1400 watts-ish

A 210 and a 410 cab

It's all luv...all the time:

  • Bass by Seismic (wraub and Ace/Bastid) :thu:
  • Amp by yet-to-be-named-company (robb.) :thu:
  • Cabs by AccuGroove (Whappo) :thu:
  • Skillz by me (developed under the tutelage of JeremyC and DBB) :thu:

Word.

(A guy can dream, can't he?! ;) )

Peace.

I'm currently playing mine as well.

Add one part any of my basses to:

SWR Mini Mo

Mackie 1400i

SWR Goliath III cab (4 ohm)

Buildings crumble for miles around. I'm like the loudest band in the universe in Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

Anything that produces a sound punchy enough to cut concrete and yet is light and small enough to fit neatly in my pocket.

Alternatively, anything that doesn't have to be moved by me.

Free your mind and your ass will follow.

i posted 2 possible dream basses for me on this thread

As for an amp rig, i'm not sure what i want but i know i want an SWR interstellar overdrive and for power amp maybe one of those peavey gps's. Then 2 of the lightest but most powerful 810's in the world.

there was also a time that there was no such thing as electric basses either. just becuase i play that type of music doesn't mean that i have to play like all the other punk players. i like effects, and i don't think that the the type of music you play should define you rig.

wow BGo you're loaded. How old are you? I forgot.

You must work A LOT to afford all that...:D ...and to ask for donations on your website with 4! basses, and 3 GIANT cabs.

AS for the dream rig, Aggy Pre/Power with some Ampeg 8x10s or 6x10s....and a Whappo Grande. :D:freak::love:

I already have most of it. My basses are there, save for some 13 pin guts and piezo bridges to drive the V-Bass. 5 and 6 sting fretless, all I need, all I want, save for maybe a shortscale extended range hybrid fretted that's got wider string spacing than a Fender VI or a baritone guitar... (EDIT: FAN FRETTED, BTW)

My amps are there. Superlight and super powerful. My V-Bass "preamp" is there and does more than either a preamp or a multieffects unit. My DI solution is to send exactly what my cabs get, and THAT sounds great. And hopefully soon, I'll have a smaller superlight cab that is very close to my large one, which sports an 18 subwoofer in a quasi horn, two 10, 2 6-1/2, and a bullet tweeter in a closed cab subsection (very tight and fast).

Just waiting for a few more developments in available neodymium drivers so that I can raise the same amount of demons in a lighter package.

Nothing else will do ; }
