I know this is kinda an innane question since jazz bass's already have that growl, but i'm looking for another set of pickups (mine are stock) that can give me that extra "growl". Here are links to three prior threads, where you can also find a link to the Bass Player mag J pickup shootout from a few years back. Some of the posts talk about "growl" from some pickups.
