Picture of your bass(es)

...

Recommended Posts

The guy taking pictures at our show this last weekend took a bunch of pictures of my basses for some reason. I thought I'd share some of them with you wonderful people.

Why not share a pic or two of your bass?

The reason is that your setup looks awesome. :thu:

I don't have webspace, but my modest rig is not very photogenic anyway.

Peter - two Sterlings?? And that Orange Stingray is ... is ... not what I would have chosen, but I bet it sounds good !! I've seen and heard the blue Sterling and the Lakland 55-94 custom - fine stuff !!! The Bru looks great, but you didn't play it the night I saw you.

Nice Lulls !!

Hoagie - how do you pick between the East Yamaha and the G&L?

Really good looking basses !! I haven't the know how or the soft ware to display mine but I'm sure someone will put a Ric 4003 (Fireglo) soon enough.

2 questions Peter with 10 basses, how do you pick what one to play and how much do you spend on strings each year?? :freak:

Depends on my mood, the gig , and the alignment of the moons. ;)

As far as strings....not sure....I do know I don't change strings as much...as I do tend to rotate the basses.....

I buy/sell/trade what I don't play......and won't keep a bass for long if I'm not drawn to playin' it.

The 2nd Sterling was picked up as part of a trade for the FG Ric 4003 that wasn't seeing any playing time..... but that just went out the door today.

I'm very, very afraid of the prospect of seeng Kieth Richards nude...shudder...

Peter J Romano's collection offends me. Nobody should have that many nice basses!!!

Nobody's nearly as metal as Kerry King...save for this guy:

Yeah, dido that Peter. Yeah right, I just started playing bass like 2 1/2 years ago. All I have is a Peavey dynabass w/red gloss finish+Fender Squier. It's not much, but it is good. I don't have the resources to put a picture on the web. I'm thinking of getting a Spector NS2002B. Any thoughts or experiences on Spectors? Any tips?, should I avoid them?, they look awesome, though.

(Jason would know where to get a Playgirl pic. . . ;) ) Just joking

Yeah, BenLoy, that dude is all hardcore metal, 'cept for the rubber treads on his feet.

It's been such a long time since I've seen that guy in action, though.

As for my rig...use your mind.

I've got a fretless 4-string piece that looks like a Fender from days past (natural finish, black pickguard, chrome pup cover.

I've also got a Washburn 5-string with a dark greenish burst out to black, with a black headstock.

Not too hard to imagine.

The East hands down. My G&L is a fantastic bass (and a wedding present from my wife of 3 1/2 years), but the East has sustaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaain that would put Spinal Tap to shame. ;) If I had a funk gig where I was slappin' all night, then the G&L for sure. :thu:

What's with all the heavy quoting? Are you guys just quoting a previously-posted pic to drag my old computer and my lousy ISP down? I'd much rather see new pics of cool basses than repeats of a great pic of cool basses if I have to suffer ; }

And keep your hands out of your underwear, you metal füöls - unless you are auditioning! ; }
