harp
I need some advice or suggestions on headphones to be used as an onstage monitor. I have tried several of the in-ear, cheap Radio Shack versions. I need something to block out the ambient sound that will be comfortable and have a volume adjustment, preferably on the cord. I have looked at the AKG's and they seem to be a well made unit. Please provide specific model numbers. I would still try the in ear if I could find something of better quality that would provide a quite listening enviroment. I also prefer around the ear for comfort. Thanking you in advance. _Sweet Willie_
Try going here: H.E.A.R. (Hearing Awareness and Education for Rockers). They have information about and links to various kinds of in-ear monitors and headphones. I'm sorry, but I can't personally recommend a specific brand or model. The H.E.A.R. website should be useful though. Peace. spreadluv Fanboy? Why, yes! Nordstrand Pickups and Guitars. Messiaen knew how to parlay the funk. Mudbass
I don't think you're going to find a good IEM system at Radio Shack prices, but I think a personal IEM is the way to go rather than standard headphones. Have a look at these... http://www.shure.com/news/pressreleases/pr-psm200_071902.html They're new from Shure and they look pretty good.
randy clay
I know Carvin makes in-ear monitors, and though I haven't tried them, I've been impressed by Carvins' prices and quality . I don't have a link for you but carvin.com will get you there. I'm trying to think but nuthin' happens....
