skynare
Hello everyone. I'm pretty sure that most of you know Abraham Laboriel. I heard his bass solo called breakfast at tiffany(?) kind of thing. And it was amazing to me. So, I reaaaallly want to learn how to play that song. Anyone can play that? Anyone has tab or sheet music of it? Anyone knows how Abe recorded that song; was it real solo realtime recording or there was a lot of take (step recording kind of…..)? Wow, I've never knew bass can sound like that. It's and he is clearly the best performance and performer I know so far. Is there better performance or bass player out there than Abe? I heard someone talking about Jaco something, but I've never listened to him playing…. I like Abe and I like breakfast at tiffany, help me, teach me that song…. g.
Not entirely on subject, but I'm finally getting a chance to hear Abraham Laboriel live! Ernie Watts, a fave sax guy since Buddy Rich and Frank Zappa, is coming through Montana with GEM, on a weekend night I don't have a gig. So at least two of the players will be guys I've always wanted to hear live - I'm guessing this will be some real jazz! .
