I check them out awhile back and thought it sounded quite nice, but it wasn't the best environment. I need an electro/acoustic bass for gigs and I didn't really like the Yamaha's... Ed Friedland Posted March 17, 2001 Share Posted March 17, 2001 I really like the new Allegro series, it's a semi-hollow body, and the bridge design is different than the old "tombstone" style they used to have. It's much lighter and more acoustic sounding now. I just wanted to hear others opinions, as a reference - I only played a couple at the NAMM show and thought that the ST series was close enough to Allegro to be useable. I know they probably brought their best sounding stuff to the show, so I didn't want to be lulled into buying one, to find out that it's really not all that. Thanks for the reply!
