Ghismar
I guys, I just bought a used 2115 bass combos and after try it at medium volume I find that it's distorting quite a lot. The amp is used but otherwise seems in good condition. When I tried it the first time it didn't distorted and sounded nice but at low volume in the store. When at home I was disappointed because the sound is not clean enough to play in small places even at that volume, I try to turn down the tube preamp section but it doesn't change anything. It distortions (mostly the lower tones) even at 1/4 master, 1/4 volume of the bass, eq out, the bass is active but I used the according input! Can you tell me what is problem? should I change the tube or is it an electronic or speaker failure? Answer would greatly appreciated Ghislain Martel Musician
Ed Friedland
Well, not being there I can't comment on the exact problem, but my first suggestion is to bring it back to the store and ask them to fix it. Used or not, it they should stand behind the amp. It may be something simple, or not. Either way, if you just bought it, the store should be cooperative. Are you using an active bass? How's the battery? Did you try it with more than one bass at home? How's your patch cord? ------------------ www.edfriedland.com www.edfriedland.com The Bass Whisperer Bass Whisperer TV
