Ed Friedland
Thought I'd mention here that this summer I'm teaching a week long Jazz Bass seminar for the National Guitar Summer Workshop people. It's June 25-July 1st at Loyola University in LA. The week ends with the first Bass Day West, co-sponsored by Bass Player Magazine and NGSW. It's going to be a great class! I'll be talking about walking, soloing, various performance issues, survival tactics, getting a sound, history, and lots more. Also for the afternoon elective class, I'll be doing an expanded version of my time/groove workshop. I don't know exactly what the tuition is, but I know that it will include lodging and meals. I hope some of you will consider coming out for this, and the week ends with Bass Day! If any of you have ever been to a BD before, you know it's alot of fun, this is the first west coast event, and I think the idea is to make this happen twice a year now, one in NY, one in LA. www.edfriedland.com The Bass Whisperer Bass Whisperer TV
jeremy_dup1
I have taught in the past at NGSW and I would like to say that it is a great program. And with Ed teaching it will be even better. ------------------ http://www.jps.net/jeremy/basspage.html
