Chip McDonald
What do I do? I've got about $20,000 worth. Some stays at home, some doesn't. Seems like the other thread died, so... natty fred
Chip, have you checked out many policies? not sure about in the US... here in the UK most music gear policies can be split so you pay a different rate on the "take out" gear from the "stay home" stuff, also over £10k worth here means you have to have special "British Standard 5-lever locks" on all doors and key locks on all windows..... oh and any vintage gear (over 30yrs) needs a written valuation and photos... I have all of the above on one pretty good policy, plus (I recently checked) my vintage bass is even covered if i'm mugged walking down the street with it, some policies here don't cover that so it's worth asking some specifics if you say catch public transport sometimes etc, as I do if I don't need to take an amp & parking can be more of a hassle, but we are having a street crime epidemic here in London and a friend was recently mugged for his sax.... peace, natty
