fantasticsound
Film in HDTV? Seriously, it starts with a great set of drums and a player who not only has chops, but knows how to properly tune his/her kit. From there, a pleasant sounding room, decent to great mics and pre's recorded to the media of your choice. Remember, the placement of those mics is crucial. Listen from another room on monitors or through headphones or record a bit, then listen to what you recorded. Adjust mic positions to taste. Also, as was discussed on a recent thread, don't assume you have to put mics on every, individual instrument. Work with as few as possible and add any others you feel are absolutely necessary. Good luck. It's easiest to find me on Facebook. Neil Bergman Soundclick fntstcsnd
