Tedly Nightshade
A friend of mine (a lay listener!) called up OPB after seeing a painting show where the brushstroke foley stuff was absurdly loud and completely out of sync with the painting going on. He received that the engineers knew there was a problem, but they were just playing the feed they got and there was nothing they could do. My friend believes that there is some kind of law or FCC regulation that all contacts from listeners to a radio or TV station must be recorded or transcribed and kept as part of the public record. Does anyone know if this is true? A WOP BOP A LU BOP, A LOP BAM BOOM! "There is nothing I regret so much as my good behavior. philbo_Tangent
No it is not true. IF the conversation goes on the air, some broadcaster will record it as a CYA measure, in case the caller is a nut job or starts sweearing.
