The drive will be used for holding and streaming samples from BFD, EAQLSO Gold, Kontakt, and Battery. Would here be much of a difference in 400 vs 800? If you mean internal, I am getting a SATA drive for recording soon. My G5 only holds 2 drives without an expensive hack that I'm not interested in. Dan South Posted February 20, 2005 Share Posted February 20, 2005 My EWSO Platinum samples choke my FW 800 drive to a standstill if I run more than a few tracks at a time. It's especially bad when a track plays something speedy like a trill. I'm in the process of moving them to an internal drive, but it won't be an SATA, because I don't have a G5.
