Sampletekk pianos

Recommended Posts

Steinberg announced a new Halion piano by Sampletekk, which got me curious about their other offerings and turns out they have a ton.

If memory serves, they also do the Nord libraries, right?

Anybody here use one or more of their pianos? How would you rate them?

I have purchased 2 upright offerings from them, Vertikal and Rain Piano Mark II when they were on sale, less than US $20 for both.

I don't use them often, but they have a unique character for when I want that. More tools in the toolbox.

I saw that, do we know if this is just a re-packaged offering from their Kontakt libraries, or is this a unique one?

Seems to me these two libraries are the same:

https://www.sampletekk.com/grand-pianos?product_id=256&sort=p.price&order=DESC

https://www.steinberg.net/vst-instruments/tbo-mkII/

But the Steinberg one is less than half the price. And I prefer the HalionSonic interface over Kontakt.

I'm actually somewhat interested in White Grand, if it's the same one that is in the Nords.

From another thread...

...The White Grand is a SampleTekk derivative. The Royal Grand 3D, however, has more of a mystery. Some of their older stuff like the Studio Grands are SampleTekk as well. Check out this thread at the Nord User Forum, in particular, the table partway down that is regularly updated: https://www.norduserforum.com/general-nord-forum-f29/models-of-piano-samples-t19136.html?sid=7db88db8e1c3f48fb85a02c9440e6299
