Tusker
You can hear the kinship with Joe Zawinul. 👍
eric
That's a great old video! I love seeing things like this. The Roland JP-8 is pretty fancy as well.
CHarrell
It's a classic video! The beat is added by the person who uploaded this specific video, but OP's vamp goes hard so it's not a big stretch of imagination to add.
David Emm
I find it a bit haunting to think that at one time, "Fairlight operator" or "Synclavier operator" were highly useful resume credits. There are probably similar states of grace for E-mu sampling teams and a score of people who created presets, such as Korg's Jack Hotop. He's got really big ears and no pun intended. A lot of us have rocked out on more than a few of his sounds. To this day, I'm grateful that blurry green CRT screens are now history. 2 Quote Lab Mode splits between contemplative work and furious experiments. Both of which require you to stay the hell away from everyone else. This is a feature, not a bug. Kraftwerk’s studio lab, Kling Klang, didn’t even have a working phone in it. ~ Warren Ellis
Radagast
Did Oscar ever use his Synclavier on any of his recordings?

AROIOS
Always loved the progression he played at 0:50, finally transcribed it after coming across the video again tonight. The 3 hip chords in there are honey to my ears: B13b9 (IIIb13b9), C#/E (IV/VIb), A13b9 (IIb13b9) CHD Pro - 63.mp3
