M Peasley
In my never-ending search for interesting I ran across a fascinating soundtrack from the original version of the film Solaris - composer Edward Artemyev. Orchestral/industrial ambient from 1972. Really amazing for such an early date. Actually, the soundtrack by Chris Martinez for the recent remake with George Clooney is very good also, but less dark and mysterious. Artemyev is in his late 60s now. His son Artimev runs the Electroshock Records label. Here's a link: Eurock.com page to the bottom for a link to Electroshock. Lots of music to check out! Note the name at the bottom of the Eurock page - "A. Patterson". I guess this a signature of the person who put the page together? I don't know, but it makes me wonder if this is the same A. Patterson of Orb fame.... M Peasley
