Otherwise, improvisation tends to just be playing standard licks, or running scales - no IDEAS being communicated. One great master of this was Jim Hall - but there are many others. Sometimes I listen to music of their favorite artists. I would like the notes in a song like that. Then I "Try to Grabbing" 2 or 3 notes were compiled into my music.
