Flemtone
The 'tones have been playing the same old Irish tavern in NJ on the last Friday of the month for 30 years tonight. I'm told there will be cake. Look! Ink for a motley collection of old cover-band folks. NJ.com Write-up Yes, I know it's shameless self-promotion, but I'm pretty sure we won't make it to 40 years unless it's the 'Steel Wheelchairs' tour or something like that. That's it - carry on. Play. Just play.

Danzilla
Congrats! You've lasted longer than many bands. Does anyone have the set list form that first night, framed for posterity? Flemtone
Thanks, friends! It was a time indeed. Dan, I don't think anyone expected us to stay together nearly this long - we've been playing together since HS in the mid-70s under one name or the other, the latest being the Flemtones. I was shocked - the place was packed! There was a line out the door, something that hasn't happened to us since the late-80s. People made stuff! For an old cover-band, it was a really nice time. Play. Just play.
jcadmus
"Someone said the Flemtones, and someone else said, 'The Fabulous Flemtones,' and we just lost it and started rolling on the floor. Tim even refused to even play with us unless we used it." I think that's the money right there. Congratulations on 30 years as a band.
