analogholic Posted December 18, 2015 Share Posted December 18, 2015 Finally got a Mac and installed Mainstage. I love being able to mute/unmute zones via various midi CC on my Kurz keyboards. Is this possible to do directly in Mainstage? There are gigs where I can't bring my Kurzweils. All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Tusker Posted December 18, 2015 Share Posted December 18, 2015 Yes. At a superficial level, you can mute channel strips: map the mute button to CC to silence audio. At a deeper level (to conserve resources) use the midi modifier plugin so that the instrument doesn't even receive the MIDI note information. More here.
