jcadmus
I'm going to stay with my original response -- douchey. "Tours widely in the southwestern tip of Kentucky"
Vandy
Devil's advocate: Could the BTB (maple neck) plus Hartke (1" tweeter + two 10" hybrid/aluminum) be a bit bright? Especially if that tweeter was blooming right where the guitarist was standing? Valid question, but I'm fairly sensitive to brightness. I'm not a "scooped EQ" guy. My BTB 575 has a rosewood fretboard, the Hartke's tweeter is always off & the 7-band EQ is attenuated from the 1.25k point up . . . A microThumpinator cleans up the sub-sonic hoo-hah for me . . . As for positioning, I was to the drummer's right, amp about level with his throne. The BL's half-stack was downstage from me (between my amp & the house), while the other guy's half-stack was to the drummer's left & downstage (about clear of the cymbals on that side). I'm possibly a typical(?) bass player, in that I'm always checking my sh*t first, since I've been trained to think of myself as "the problem child". But, at some point, I'm also an old cornerback who feels that "they've gone far enough & they're barking" is a swell reason to get ice-cold . . .
