how loud the band is playing when the musicians can't hear each other over the conversations in the audience.

 

babe of the day

 

the most attractive woman in the audience, often decided by a vote of the band.

Pointing

 

You go down to check out a band you hadn't heard before, only to find out they play every played out bar song you ever heard. They play OK, but one guy sings every song...and is not nearly as good as he thinks he is.

 

As in "Dis a pointing band"
