DanYmaL X Posted October 10, 2010 Share Posted October 10, 2010 I found this bass on CL and will be picking it up tomorrow, if all goes well... it is an Epiphone Rock Bass, Jazz pickups, white with black pickuard... not the newer batwing headstock but the older 80's-hair-band-glam-rock pointy headstock. Looks just like the one in this eBay Listing only a lot cleaner and in much better shape. (And not as pricey...) I'm getting it on a trade along with another guitar for one of my acoustic 6 strings. Anyone got any first-hand info on these basses? I've done a bit of googling and found a little on them, but not much. It's certainly a nice loking bass, and it seems to have fairly decent reviews. It reminds me alot of my first bass, an 80's Kramer... or was it a Hamer? It was something "-amer" anyways... Pics to come... They just keep relisting it at the same price over and over... I was thinking of custom fitting a tortoise pickguard but I don't think it would go well with the black hardware after looking at the pic of your new Jazz... possibly a red pearloid one? Maybe just leave it black, too. Red/tort over white has always been one of my favorite color schemes, though. We'll see what happens. Regardless, it is going to look real nice next to my Aerodyne... I actually took tonight off of work too, so I might be able to go get it this evening and run it through some paces at rehearsal tomorrow night. Picker...
