Rock and Roll Hoochie Coo

Ross Brown

Recommended Posts

I am looking for some help on this song. During the verse I hang on the "A" and bounce around on the "E" and octave "A". I also do some other crap (go to the "G") that I am not sure sounds so good. Overall I just play this one by feel and try to stay true to the rhythm, beyond that it seems like I am dropping the ball on this song.

Any words of wisdom. (I do plan on going back to the recording and listening closer).

Thanks.

What jl said. Gotta hang with the guitar part, mostly roots and octaves, follow the guitar riffs, toss in the occasional run into a downbeat.

Peace,

I'm a lot more like I am now than I was when I got here.

The Johnnie Winter version, the Rick Derringer version, or the Rick Derringer with Edgar Winter version?

It's been a long hot day for me, else I might pull out the bass and figure it out again.

Nail the main riff at the end of each verse, otherwise do what you feel.

Guitar solos last 30 seconds, the bass line lasts for the whole song.
