QE3
I plan on using my Masterlink to provide playback of additional material during live shows. So far rehearsals have gone very well however I have a question that someone might know the answer. I'm using the analog outs to feed both the stage mnitors and and the house mix. I know that the Masterlink outputs a clock signal via it's digital outs and I also know that if a digital source that supplies a clock signal is connected to the digital ins of the masterlink, it will slave to it. I got this info off the Alesis website. So my question is does anyone know if it's possible in theory to link a Masterlink in playback mode accepting an external clock signal to a synth playing back internal midi files so that they play in sync. Obviously some sort of conversion box (Lucid?) would be required to go from midi to clock????
Ignatius Riley
The clock signal used to sync digital audio devices is not time code. Out of the box, a ML will not provide what you are trying to accomplish. Track or treat? http://www.garbage-house.com/pictures/freaks-images/eck-s-animated.gif
