Griffinator
A little frenetic, a little chaotic, but it's short and sweet. CMDN Eric (from the Lowdown) makes a guest appearance with his band, Wizard Eye. Gifthorse
Nice intro skit. Funny, the recipe looked tasty but again I wanted to see the people eating and enjoying more. Just to see the reactions, and the way it looked already cooked. http://flagshipmile.dmusic.com/ http://www.myspace.com/gifthorse
Griffinator
Yep, and I've thought of you the whole time I was editing this one, GH. Rest assured, next show, while it will be lengthier than the last two by a fair measure, will get you more of you've been asking for. A bunch of loud, obnoxious music I USED to make with friends. A String
Great job Griff! You seem to be getting more relaxed and natural with the camera, with each passing episode. Keep em' coming! Griffinator
I appreciate it, A. Our current goal is to develop these all the way into "broadcast" style 18-22 minute episodes, with appropriate breaks for commercials. We're actually starting to fish around for people to do mock commercials for the show right now so we can get used to the format and give the viewer something entertaining in what would otherwise come off as a forced break. Gifthorse
I think so far it is a hit. If you can extend them to 18-20, I really think you could get it on TV. http://flagshipmile.dmusic.com/ http://www.myspace.com/gifthorse
Griffinator
Operative being, extend them to 18-20 without losing momentum. A bunch of loud, obnoxious music I USED to make with friends.
Gifthorse
You won't, and remember you can always waste some time focusing on the people enjoying the food you have prepared. http://flagshipmile.dmusic.com/ http://www.myspace.com/gifthorse
Gifthorse
I think you have a great idea. No reason it can't take off. I think the comedy is entertaining, and so are the recipes. http://flagshipmile.dmusic.com/ http://www.myspace.com/gifthorse
A String
I agree. One difference I notice between your show and shows I watch on The Food Network though, is the voice overs. In cooking shows, you usually watch the presenter, talking to you and explaining the recipes. With your show, you do that a bit, but a lot of the time you are using voice overs. Not a big deal. Just a difference I noticed. Craig Stringnetwork on Facebook String Network Forum My Music
Griffinator
You know what happened there? I started getting lazy. It was so much easier to just do a voice-over than to struggle through talking to the camera. Something that also is going to go away in future episodes. It's a good quick-fix rather than re-shooting a whole sequence, but when it becomes a crutch, time to go away.... A bunch of loud, obnoxious music I USED to make with friends.
