Jazz+
I think I must of have missed the debut of this third model, the "L1 Compact System" in the Bose pole series. Anybody tried them or know how loud they have compared to the original: $999 each http://www.bose.com/controller?url=/shop_online/speakers/portable_amplification_systems/l1_compact/index.jsp http://www.bose.com/assets/images/shop_online/l1_compact/l1_compact_bl_lg.jpg I had the original Bose pole with sub with sub for about 2 weeks but didn't like being in mono and the hassle of setting up all the various parts. It had good clear mids but the highs were lacking and the bass sounded incomplete. It sounded a bit thin and brittle. Couldn't justify $2k for a mono set up. So now it appears the set up has gotten easier and for the price of the original you can get two of these scaled down models and be in stereo. I still wish they would make a single pole in stereo to cut down on asetup hassle. Jazz+
Review by "Cap" http://www.imadj.com/w_bose/bosecompactreview-page2.shtml "This Compact system will provide a little less than 50% of the loudness/volume of one L1 Model 1 or 2, 25% of the bass volume/response of two B1s, BUT almost 90% of the area coverage.
