Edgar Summers
I ran across an interesting article about Bob Moog. click here The Moog website is Moog website For me Bob Moog is one my heroes so a museum for him would be a interesting stop on any east coast trip I might take in the future. I understand the Moog factory in Asheville also gives tours. Ed "Music should never be harmless." Robbie Robertson
NoahZark
If done correctly, this could be the ultimate "hands on" museum. Noah P.S. I noticed the article using the term "Moogseum" to describe the Moog museum. I hope that that's not because they don't know how to pronounce Bob Moog's last name. It would be a cute twist on the term (like the "Newseum" in Washington, D.C.) if Bob Moog's last name were pronounced like the cow sound (since that long "u" sound is also used in the word museum). Alas, we know it's not. Noah
BP3
Bob's daughter Michelle Moog-Koussa has done a great bit of work for The Bob Moog Foundation as the Executive Director and the Moogseum is coming along very well. Michelle will be appearing at NEARfest this June with a variety of Moog gear and plenty of Bob's notes and letters from folks like Keith Emerson, Walter Carlos and other early modular systems buyers.
