I remember playing ESPs in a store 5-6 years ago and being dismayed at the (lack of) quality. About 2 years ago I played a number of different models, and they were all fine basses.

Their neck-through basses are quite tempting.

You listed the pickups as ESP, but I thought they were EMG?

You have chosen wisely.

Enjoy :thu:

Beautiful bass, Simus.

I have owned an ESP LTD bolt-on for a few years. Carpedebass has one, also.

My bass has EMG passive pickups and a preamp made by the Korean company that makes OEM stuff for EMG. I've noticed that the LTD basses are now advertised as having ESP pickups and preamps. I'm guessing they are variations of EMG's designs made in the same factory as EMG's OEM stuff.

My only complaint with my LTD was that the battery only lasted 2 or 3 months. (capedebass had the same problem.) It seems the cheap output jack was letting current leak even with the bass unplugged. Replacing the jack seems to have cured the problem...haven't changed the battery in over 8 months.
