duff beer
Just by chance I found this while surfing...someone has made a whole bunch of jam tracks consisting of just guitar and drums (no bass) for bass players to play along to (there are also tracks for guitar players and drummers). Enjoy!! http://www.freejamtracks.com/index.html
davio
Nice! I'll have to check that out when I get home. Thanks Duffman!

Phil W
Thanks! Basic but useful. http://philwbass.com
1111000
If I could find it, I'd buy a library of drum tracks from different styles to play with. My fretless workbook is from Hal Leonard and it has some incredibly useful stuff on its partner CD.
Phil W
We could always revive this thread: https://forums.musicplayer.com/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/1955362/page/0/fpart/1 - The Lowdown Jamtrack Collaboration Thread. http://philwbass.com
1111000
I intended to collaborate a lot but I never got around to it. I'm sorry Phil. That is/was a good thread.
Phil W
It will return! Maybe we could de one of these! http://philwbass.com
Rowbee
It's a nice idea but I wasn't too impressed by the tracks - I downloaded the first two funk ones but they didn't feel particularly funky to me. Now theres three of you in a band, youre like a proper band. Youre like the policemen.
Phil W
 - I was being tactful, if inaccurate with 'basic'. Mind you, part of the challenge of playing with some jam tracks is taking something turgid and trying to make it sound good. Can't think when I've ever had to make something musically average sound good in my music experience . . .mmmm....oh, yeah, isn't that was bassists do half the time? Wouldn't mind some tastier funk jam tracks. http://philwbass.com
rizzo9247
Wouldn't mind some tastier funk jam tracks. Yeah, I was excited when I saw the funk links, but disappointed when I heard them. I might get out the Stingray and funkify the first track if Sonar comes back to life.
