What's wrong???

I am "facelifting" one of my basses, and in the process I bought an EMG HZ pickup to replace the old one. Since it's only one pickup, the wiring is easy to do ( the pickup brings wiring instructions, so easy even I can do it!).

Anyway, when I finished soldering, I noticed that the pots are working COUNTERCLOCKWISE, instead of clockwise.....I used 500K pots instead of 250... Could that be?

I don't mind having the pots this way(it's actually kind of cool), but I want to know, just for learning's sake.....

Correct - just swap the outside poles of the pot around, and it will work the way you expected it too.

Not that it makes a practical difference, just that the volume sweep is reversed.

...and The Pot is correct - the resistance of the pots will not make a difference in this (it will adjust your tonal range slightly though).
