Flemtone
NOOOOO! This is a sad day indeed. I've been a fan since the mid-to-late 60s and his music has always been influential. I just listened to 'Satch and Josh' (OP with Count Basie) this past week and was again blown away. Thanks for all the music. Rest well. Play. Just play. Davo-London
I met Oscar Peterson coming into my hotel lift In Stavanger, Norway. I was really startled - I mean shocked. When I got my senses together I had a quick chat with him. Incredibly polite and humble. Lovely man. Wally Malone
A sad day indeed. I have a DVD with Oscar Peterson, Ray Brown and NHOP and Oscar is the last of the three to leave us. Wally I have basses to play, places to be and good music to make!

Wally Malone
Oscar and Ray Bump, that's from the DVD I referred to in my earlier post. Many piano players have a hard time finding "their" bass player and Oscar has two of the best all-time URB players performing with him at the same time! Wally I have basses to play, places to be and good music to make!
