VeloDoug
I'm putting a guitar back together that I took apart a long time ago. I forget which wire gets wired to which terminal of the input jack. How do you tell? Zuben
Actually, it is the 1/4 inch output phone jack. The wire for the positive (tip of the jack sill be either be white or red. The base is black (ground / neg) http://www.spotcheckbilly.com http://www.littlefeat.net http://www.bonnieraitt.com
The Geoff
Yup, what Zuben says. Usually the tip connection is the one running either direct from the Vol in the case of a Fender-type, or direct from the selector switch if a Gibson-type. there are variants, unfortunately. The black will run from the barrel-connection & join up all the pots - don't forget there will be a connection to the bridge (somehow). G.
