Moonfish
I've got a lot of feedback problems with the pick ups of my Gibson es 347....(Dirty fingers p.u.).........my techician advise me to replace them because they're fault.....he think that the wax don't fill well the cover or something like this, and he can't replace the old wax for melt new wax. He advise me to replace them and put on a couple of Lindy Fralin pick ups.....he told me about Fralin like better then Gibson Dirty fingers or '57 paf............is it true?....... Bluesape
It's a matter of opinion, but that is a highly respected brand. Never a DUH! moment! Well, almost never. OK, OK! Sometimes never!
mdrs
Lindy Fralin is widely respected. Many think that his Strat replacement pu's are the best available. He also will repair vintage pu's. You might e mail him, and inquire as to whether he'd fix yours for you. Don "There once was a note, Pure and Easy. mdrs
By the way, a 347 has coil tapping. So, I'd sure consider contacting Lindy, to make sure to keep your guitar as original as possible. http://www.fralinpickups.com/rewind_repair.asp Let us know how you did, and what you decided to do.
