Guitar55 Posted October 12, 2006 Share Posted October 12, 2006 Very cool. It looks like that was from the old TV series "Night Music" that was hosetd by David Sanborn and, for a while, Jools Holland. The house band consisted of Marcus Miller, Omar Hakim, George Duke, Sanborn, Holland and, at different times, Hiram Bullock and Robben Ford. AlChuck Posted October 13, 2006 Share Posted October 13, 2006 Night Music, ah, that was such a great program. Too bad it was so underappreciated. My favorite thing was the "mash ups" they did, where they would clump up some artists that you never thought would ever play together and do something oddball. The one I most remember is a version of "Heartbreak Hotel" done as a kind of dirge by John Cale of the Velvet Underground with Richard Thompson on guitar and the house band... really interesting stuff...
