lmcap0
Hey, yall. I recently started to take up the guitar, but I've been having some difficulty switching from straight note-picking to chords, in songs. Like, I can do the chord exclusive songs, and it's cool. Or, I can just do the note version of the song and omit the optional chords, and that's cool, too. But I feel like I'm missing out on the intended form of the song by doing that. So, any of yall have any tips to help me out, here? Thanks in advance
Big Red 67
Welcome to the club. Most of us (if not all of us) have gone though this. I will come. I still strugle with this sometimes. If I really work on the part, it all smooth out. Big Red's Ride Blog
Zephyr
Red's right. it may seem very difficult at first, but if you keep at it, you'll DEFINITELY improve. For example, I've only been playing for 1 1/2 years, and already i can tell the difference between my playing. When i first started out, i couldn't even play the 12-bar blues. Now I'm getting to the point where i can play whole songs solos and all. Never argue with an idiot. They'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=810593 http://www.myspace.com/dandelavega
