  1. Just got done listening to a YouTube vid of someone rocking out on the Voce. That is a great sounding unit.
  2. Oh, that's interesting. All I have is a Roland VR-730 and while it's certainly workable, I'm not it would be a great reference. But I have nothing to lose by trying it so I think I'll give that a look. Thanks for the idea.
  3. I've owned a couple Leslies in the day (145s). And I owned a Korg CX3 back in the 80s which I loved. It was a version 1. Yes, I thought that clonewheels always braked to center, but then that's not a setting I would've ever employed before. Guess I needs me a virtual broom handle. 🙂
  4. I discovered something interesting but not so great about engaging the rotary FX brake: the speakers stop in various places so the organ sounds remarkably different each time you brake the rotary. That's weird because had anyone asked, I would have said that the speakers come to center. But obviously, that's not the case. So, as nice as this organ OD FX sounds, I may give up on this idea. Vent II's OD is quite nice but my unit sits on the right-hand side of my PC4-7 so reaching over to tweak the OD knob is awkward. I may look into modding the Vent so I can have a small standalone box with a pot that can be mounted on the left side of PC4-7 to control the OD.
  5. That’s an interesting thought, setting the brake. I’ll give that a shot. Thanks!
  6. If you run your PC4 KB3 organs through a Vent (I have a Vent II), could you talk about that and maybe go into a little detail? One thing I’d be curious to know is if you retained the modwheel-assigned OD, how you might’ve done that? I’m aware that OD is part of the rotary FX bock, so I would guess that you’d have heavily modified the FX chain. I should tell you that I played around with this briefly by shutting off the rotary FX on Big B3 Rotary and hooking it up to my Vent II. And when I did, I thought the organ lost a lot of its character which tells me its FX have a huge impact on its sound, and I didn’t care for the results. Maybe the better question would be what tweaks did you have to make to get the KB3 organs sounding great running through a Vent? Many thanks!
  7. Yes, if the organ program is in a multi, go to the Control section and set your sustain pedal to CC29 with ON value set to 127 and OFF set to 0. Otherwise, edit the organ program itself: go to the Params page, highlight anything in the left column, then hold the ENTER button and press the Variation button. Once it jumps to the speed parameter, highlight the word Variation, then hold the ENTER button and step on your sustain pedal to reassign it. Test it out. If you like it, save it as a new program.
