I have a new SKX-Pro that has started showing an error screen when I turn it on. Haven't been able to snap a photo of it yet, but I found one in a different forum (see attached), so apparently this is something that is affecting other people as well. Luckily, the error goes away if I switch it off and turn it back on again. But it's unnerving to see on a brand new machine. Anyone have any experience dealing with this?

used Hammond SK-2 vs. new Crumar Mojo Classic?

I've never played an SK2, but I recently returned a Mojo Classic (suitcase edition actually) because of some static discharge problems causing the board to lock up. Wouldn't have mentioned it here except that another poster mentioned having issues with their Mojo Classic. With that said, I really liked the sound and feel of the board and was sad to return it. But it wasn't reliable in my particular environment. -

Supposed to be the same as the XK5, with the multi-contacts, etc. plus a new and improved Leslie emulation.

That Bonners demo has been out for a while, and I think someone posted it earlier in this thread. Any newer demos that folks are aware of? I'd love to hear more of what the board can do.

I would have done so, but the Crumar folks actually said that a replacement would act in the same way, if used in the same rig. So I decided not to take the risk.

Yes, but a longtime lurker and beneficiary of forum wisdom! In seriousness, I was also surprised that more people hadn't encountered this issue, given the popularity of these instruments. Maybe it was a bum unit after all. Thanks, everyone, for your advice.

I decided not to take any chances and just sent the organ back to Sweetwater as a return. I love the Crumar sound and feel, but given that their service department was honest about the fact that there was nothing wrong with the organ and that it was behaving normally by locking up in the event of static discharge, I decided that it wasn't for me. Just not willing to deal with that on a gig. I'm saving my pennies for a Hammond SKX Pro.

My salesperson at Sweetwater tells me that Hammond is telling them to expect the organ in May at the earliest.
