Hello to all folks in the Forum! This is a great place.
I have the doubt of which exactly is this 88-key controller (or maybe digital piano) enclosed in a baby grand's guts for a concert.
Looks as a Yamaha CP4 if we see those wheels up to the left (to make the "ivories" extent more akin to a real piano keybed I guess!), but those knobs make me doubt...
Year is about 2000 I guess, artist is "one Christian music well-known artist with 3-letter acronym beginning with M...) hehe ok, I'll say, Michael W. Smith. it's just a pic / frame that I am posting, so I guess no content rights problems for this message.
If anyone out there has a hint please let me know.
As a side question, does anyone -who can identify the artist and be accustomed to his tone- identify the piano module or sound or preset (arrg! lol) that he uses most of the time?
Back in the first/ mid-nineties he displayed a full-blown Korg 01W-pro/X and he sounded as he would be using merely the factory tones, not any piano PCM card in that slot... although we know those items are normally dealt without for fake/playback, but not for a full live performance.
But later on he became clearly a "Yamaha artist", have seen him with CP1s and the like but never really caught up as to his real setup and timbres.
Regards!
