  1. Wow... some extremely talented folks on this forum. Many thanks to all those that submitted; I've thoroughly enjoyed listening to every one of these songs. A quick thank you also to everyone that contributes on the forum. Especially in these crazy, turbulent times, the thoughtful commentary helps me more than you will ever know. Steve
  2. You can get this one-of-a-kind Audi-designed Bosendorfer piano. Interesting design, but not to my tastes... Audi Bosendorfer Costco Looks the standard Costco return policy is not available for this item, unfortunately...
  3. The Real MC is correct. The collection belongs to Marcus Ryle (who hosted the party when the pictures were taken) and not Jay Graydon. My friend was apparently confused by a conversation with another party goer.
  4. I remember him producing a bunch of Al Jarreau albums in the 80s. Didn't realize that he also played the guitar solo on Steely Dan's Peg. Talented guy...
  5. A friend of mine recently sent me these photos from a home studio where she was attending a birthday party. Turned out the house is owned by Jay Graydon...
  6. Went to the show this past Friday in Santa Clarita (saw them previously in Agoura when they toured extravaganza 1 earlier this year). Other than a rather painful feedback issue that actually forced them off the stage for about 10 minutes, the show was wonderful; a great mix of songs from Trespass through And Then There Were Three. For all those going, enjoy; you won't be disappointed.
  7. Bought the Izotope "Black Friday Bundle" for $49 (supposedly a $700 value) for my son for his EDM productions. Was looking for a deal on the Behringer D (passed up the $225 deal last black friday), but missed the Thanksgiving day only discount from our "friend" and then saw the thread about the Poly D and figured I should wait...
  8. So looking forward to the show in LA on 10/22. It's been years since I've seen Rick play...
  9. This sounded interesting from the description in the article but the demo video sounds generic and not particularly impressive. GS Music Zeus MusicRadar
  10. Don't really know anything about this instrument, but I saw this today and thought it was nicely done by Cory Henry. [video:youtube]
  11. There was one "greatest hits" songbook that I was fortunate to pick up 25-30 years ago, but I don't believe it has Trip to the Fair. I can check when I get home. However, even if it did have the song, it wouldn't have the entire intro. I remember buying the book because it had all of Prologue transcribed fairly accurately, but that was really the only song with all of the piano parts. Most upsetting to me was that the intro to Running Hard was completely skipped. To this day, I've wanted to play that, but I just stink at figuring things out by ear (which is now compounded by some serious tinnitus and hearing loss). Props to you for pushing through and trying to figure out Trip to the Fair. Tom Brislin has played with Annie recently, I believe as Renaissance. He may be able to provide some pointers if you can reach him...
  12. Hi Folks. Please check out the latest composition from my son. https://soundcloud.com/jacob-green-61/from-within I realize that EDM isn't very popular on this board (I am not personally a huge fan), but I'd love to provide him feedback on not only the music, but also the production. Most of his songs were performed entirely on a Korg Krome and recorded to Ableton. I believe this current piece, however, was done entirely within Ableton, using the sounds/effects that come packaged with standard version of the software. Thanks, in advance, for any comments. Steve
  13. Aspen, Sweetwater it is then. Thanks for the info and all the great advice on this thread. Steve
  14. Can anyone tell me what the advantages/disadvantages of ordering the amp from Sweetwater vs. directly from Aspen's company? I live about 30 minutes from the address on Aspen's website. Perhaps it would be possible to pick it up directly from his warehouse vs. having it shipped? Thanks for the advice, Steve
  15. One that I didn't understand as kid was Arlo Guthrie's "Coming into Los Angeles"... "bringing in a couple of keys". Always thought he was talking about car/house keys. In the other category, there was "Walking in a Lake" by the Missing Persons. "Nobody walks in a lake"... still makes sense to me...
  16. My 17 year old son has been using his Korg Krome for about a year to create his music. He has finally posted a few of his songs and I would love to hear opinions on the music and any suggestions for improvements. Thanks in advance for taking the time...
