  1. I hear you there (see what I did), but my issue is not so much competing with the guitar player, it's my own sounds ting volume/power, still need mixer and probably sub. Lots of extra cables to dealcompeting with each other. I need more room for LH bass combined with a keyboard sound. When the two sounds start to distort it drives me crazy, especially with piano. But it happens with any LH bass/RH sound combo where I have to start cranking up, and other than going the crossover route, which I don't want to do, I need more breathing room, however that translates technically. Also I don't use that Roland by choice, I was using a Motion Sound before it stopped working. But for LH bass? i.e. the manual bass sound in the SK1? I've read in this very thread from users saying the low end was lacking, enough to recommend using a sub in conjunction. Anyways having said all that, maybe this config could work: Nord Stage and SK1 --> Mixer --> SSv3 (plus potential sub). Especially if the SK1 sim sounds as good as has been said. Still not as appealing as a single amp handling everything (not complaining, I totally understand the approach of the Space Station.) (KBR-3D - great rotary sound, stereo, but breaks up with too much sound + volume. Plus I have one already if it gets fixed) (KP-500 - plus VentII, stereo, probably can handle what I throw at it) Both have great low end. Well I know the KBR3D does so the KP-500 probably does. (SSv3 - assuming great rotary effect with leslie sim, and trus with every gig/rehearsal) Dilemma. Motion Sound is probably out of business again, trying to track down that amp (new). Space Station is really really in business lol. So neither amp is currently in stock.
  2. Thanks for responding to me. I'm still figuring out what I want to do for something "new" and well, working. My current amp will probably be fixed as well (I hope) and so I will have that as an option in addition to whatever I get soon. Leaning more towards a Motion Sound KP-500 for the much higher head room and, it's lighter than what I've been using. No rotary but it's stereo. Add in the VentII. The first thing I noticed with the SSv3 was the wattage of 280 vs my current 200w. It just doesn't quite cut it when the other players crank up or it's a loud room, and especially when I play LH bass, it's too much sound being pushed through. So being "forced" to get new audio I wanted to allow for more head room. I did think of getting more than one at your excellent price point, but I would have to also invest in a sub. And would probably still get the Ventilator II because I prefer that over the SK1 sim. Also would rather carry one relatively heavy amp than two or three lighter ones. The one I'm looking at is 48lbs vs my current rig (KBR3D) at 70lbs. At some point in the future, for single keyboard gigs.... well I trust everyone's reviews here and would love to have one. Congrats on all the success and I wish you more.
  3. This sounds like a great speaker, and given that my Motion Sound KBR-3D is currently in pieces in my friend's workshop, I'm looking around for alternatives. Currently using my older KC-550 to cover gigs. Although my friend is probably going to bring the KBR3D back to life, I am thinking it remains as more of a back up amp. I'm probably going to get one of the current KBR3D amps that are still in stock because, unfortunately the SSv3 doesn't have enough inputs. I was seriously considering this amp [the SSv3], with a VentII and I suppose also a sub. Maybe SSv4 will have an extra mono input for B3 emulator. I have an SK1 and an old Nord Stage, and I use both on gigs 90% of the time. Edit: and also no easy outputs when needed for the sound guy which cover all my sounds (i.e. two XLR)
