Weight ?

no , it is clear so far .the clavia in use is not much different , used it 90 percent for organ and 10 percent for pedal wah clav with the before mentioned pedals . Maybe the quality has diminished , I am pretty sure my 4 FC7 are still from the 80' s , all work fine still , one has a replacement cable. I will get a spare part now
-
I have 2 FC 7 that came with a KX88 I bought used , 1 rewired to be used with a nord ekectro . Used that combi for probably 10 years now . The pedal was really mistreated on some gigs and there have been countless open air festivals with " suboptimal " power conditions . Never any problem . The other pedal which is not rewired seems to work now just fine with the DMC but I know what to look for now . Which other pedals are compatible ? ( No info in the manual)
-
Thanks for replying , I just got mine few days ago . I can only say I love it and I hope it works without major glitches. I have an Fc 7 which works fine now but should I get a replacement?
I bought a DMC with gemini btw if that makes any difference

I have no clue but you seem to. Go ahead please ;-)
-
Although I never owned a kb which would need one before, which UPS would you recommend ?
-
Unfortunately not . Some users having problems ( symptoms like you described it) say the mojo is totally unreliable , others do not seem to have those problems .Problems seem to be quite difficult to reproduce
-
There seem to be some people with similar problems . reported in the facebook user group

Yamaha Reface CP
I really like my Reface CP also, Al. As a CP4 owner I am familiar with the sounds but really like the immediacy of the knobs. Wish I could use it with my Mojo but since it only transmits MIDI over Channel 1 I would have to purchase a MIDI Solutions device to use it with the Mojo's lower manual.
Not sure if I understood the problem but maybe this helps

different operating system platforms will yield different output results. the dual manual mojo runs on windows XP.
-
That reminds me of something I forgot to mention: I also have an original Mojo, and I was really surprised at how much better the 61 sounded. I expected it only to be a slight improvement, but it's in a whole different league.
Really ? It seems to run the same software . I only tried the original . Maybe it is upgraded DA converters ?

Well, dang. I just discovered that the Mojo 61 does not send program changes
I'm taking note for the next firmware update:
1. Send velocity from the lower manual
2. Clavinet note-off at the bottom contact
3. Send MIDI program change events when switching between the 8 sounds
4. Split output option* (organs on the left, pianos on the right)
What else?
Snip
Since I did not find it in the online manual:
Something like local on/off or midi send on/off separate for optional lower manual and main unit

The current CP 70 in the GSI hardware appears to be PM.description on the GSI website " Electric Baby Grand piano
This is a simulation of a Yamaha CP-70, it offers full polyphony (73 notes) and is based partly on the physical modeling techniques with the use of sampled attack transients. While, in this case, realism is more of a compromise, playability is still a big plus. This instrument, being simulated, offers a wide dynamic range, sympathetic resonance, realistic noises and artifacts, and a rich frequency response.
My bet would also be a modeled Piano , hopefully 76 keys available with a better action than the nord HP . The dexibell 76 key model did not feel as strange as the nord HP as far as I remember

Mojo or Mojo 61?I did not find the EP on the mojo , how do you dial that in ?Sorry , forgot to mention , in the store they only had the original mojo dual manual . That one did already have the updated keybed which does feel nice.
-
I think the mojo might have some small latency . But I only had the feeling in the first seconds after having played a hammond sk 1 ( it was apparently broken , produced hanging notes ) in a store . Brain adjusts immediately , no problem for me. The viscount legend in the store had some problems, too. Halfmoon had a contact problem , tremolo only worked slightly bending it. The C/V dial was not showing the setting you were hearing.
I really liked the percussion on the viscount and that you can tweak it with dials . On YouTube videos I thought it sounded a bit synthetic but I did not have that impression in the store . And I like the soft/ normal switch . The mojo does not seem to have that (?) . Both sounded and felt good . I did not find the EP on the mojo , how do you dial that in ?

Hello , I tried both next to each other ( the older dual manual crumar ) in a store briefly with crappy headphones and made pretty much exactly the same observations. I ordered the GSI ( I am used to the standard fatar and in my experience it gets softer over time ) an hour later , unfortunately it arrived here broken . I am sure both can sound equally good with appropriate speakers but for me , out of the box , it was just like you described it ( except maybe the overdrive which I did not like much on both compared to HX3 , so I would have liked to see an insert ) After I ordered it there were some reports on the facebook group about reliability issues with the crumar. But probably it is just the fact that satisfied customers don' t post on forums . Hopefully the scanner board is not velcroed in as it seems to be in the dual manual mojo ( somebody posted a photo)

the GSI Gemini apparently has the same organ , EP s plus synth and it can provide 2 sounds at the same time . i ordered one with their spaceship looking dual manual controller because I think I can play my gigs with this alone ( and a backup ?)and it is smaller than the other similar models. I was not able to try it before , awaiting delivery
-
How is the mojo leslie compared to the vent in your opinion since you want to sell your vent ? Just bought the other GSI organ TIA
-
Well as long as it still plays ;-) no more stuck notes ?I am used to my electro 2 , sounds very mediocre but it is totally reliable, still . But the sounds are not inspiring anymore. Just checked an hx3 and liked it a lot but was not able to compare it to a mojo. I am very curious but a bit intimidated (?) ;-)
-
I see , thank you very much
-
The stuck notes problem worries me . Do you remember under which circumstances you got stuck notes ? Cannot remember the last stuck note on any keyboard except when recording MIDI on an Atari.
-
I really like the modular concept . But that special MIDI cable... How much is a replacement , where can you buy those ( or is there a diagram so someone who is able to do it can solder one) ?
-
I think I could automate it with my novation nocturne but I don't think I have an audio vst plugin ( as opposed to vsti ) that can receive Midi CC from a midi input ( modwheel from dx7). Am I missing something ?
