  1. YES!

I was going to mention that, I would of preferred gold knobs to match the hardware instead of the pickups. Even black metal-type knobs would of been better than the plastic ones. If I am going to pay top dollar for an instrument, I do expect better.

One subtle thing on the bass that I really like is the super-wide pancake-like strap buttons. Sure, I'll still contemplate gold strap locks, but these don't look anything like the small chincy ones we've seen for the past 60 years.

I was given an old school (circa 1996) Yamaha DD-9 drum machine. I need to get a 12V adapter before I can fire her up. Hopefully it works. And no, I didn't get the black drum sticks.

  3. Strange Dream:

I was driving down an unknown street with my window down, and see a man on the corner with long black hair. As I pull closer I realize that I know this man from somewhere. When I got to the corner I shouted, "Hey, are you Flank from the bassplayer forum?" He replies happily, "Yeah!" I introduced myself then drive off.

Strange indeed. I need to stop reading this thread.

  4. I vouch for Avatar's 2x10, the added oomph from the 2x12 should be splendid. I was thinking of picking one up before the price increased, but it's still not terribly out of range.

The 112 is attractive too because of the size/weight ratio and i have heard they are very loud for their size - kinda like Davio.

  5. That's 2 signature-quotable posts right there, somebody better jump on them...

People have been known to starve to death at the local Olive Garden.

    I bet they died happy.

I used to like the commercial where the family brought their relative, visiting from Italy, to Olive Garden, and he was thrilled. In real life he'd punch you in the nose or at least put a curse on you.

No doubt. Olive Garden is the Behringer of Italian food.

That deserved a loud "ha!" in the office :D
