  1. Whoa!! Pretty awesome video/audio mashup. What a great job you did. Really cool, loved it! Great! I like things rough around the edges, so, this actually sounds pretty clean to me. Music has nice playing and a nice vibe to it. If it had a super-slick superlative studio sound, I think the mood would be diminished. You know, the closeness to the performance. Or something. I might even distort it up a bit, record it on cassette on a deck that hasn't had it's heads cleaned in 20 years. Eh, it's fine the way it is. Cool clips! I'd imagine I'd need to see them in context to the play to get the full effect, but they're very nice bits of music. They sound suitable as a soundtrack, but also stand on their own very well! "Babylon Tower" and "priestess" remind me a bit of the music from the Panzer Dragoon series of video games (on Sega Saturn, one game on XBox) which is cool, cause I love that music. Awesome! What's so funny about it?!?!!? hahaha Thanks for taking the time to listen, and I'm glad it provided at least a bit of humor!
  2. OK, here's some junky tunes FOR FREE from an album I recorded last year, using only Casio home keyboards from the 80s. Yes, that's been done many times before, but not this terribly. Prefixes From Outer Space (5.83 MB) A Lovely Day At Fleece Beach (3.91 MB) Springing (3.08 MB) Small Systems / Extension Mechanism (13.4 MB; this is actually 2 songs) Escape Via Interdimensional Gateway (8.96 MB) Check out the file sizes before you download, mainly if you're on dial-up. Right now, I don't remember exactly which Casios I used for a specific part, but it was some combination of MT-68, MT-400V, MT-70, DM-100 and RAP-1 (the Rapman!) I do know that "Springing" is entirely MT-400V. And for "Extension Mechanism" I used the sampling section of the DM-100 to record and playback samples of "Small Systems." This music is very dry, well, totally dry sounding, as there's no effects (except for some compression and a touch of EQ on the overall mix.) I wanted a fairly authentic Casio sound quality. Finally, there's no crazy cutting or pasting or level envelopes or anything, just live playing from the Casios. EXCEPT, I did make the Casio drumbeats into loops just to make it easier on me. There is, of course, a lot of layering of parts going on. Now, none of this makes the music any good -- it's still pretty weak -- but I just wanted to give a bit of background into my intentions for the music. Thanks for reading this! And maybe for listening, too! Hopefully no one gets bored to death from this post or the music!
