Going on Friday! Was given the meet and greet as a birthday gift. Totally psyched!!

One of my worst gigs was playing outside in direct sun in Georgia in June. I borrowed my friend's Prophet 5 (it was 1983). Nothing I did would keep that thing in tune, and mean it would be WAY off.

When I bought my N2 Avant Grand at Cunningham Piano in King of Prussia, PA, I saw they had a CFX there. It gets used at the Academy of Music. I was looking at it in awe, and Rich Galassini said go ahead and play it. It was an amazing piano in terms of tone and feel. Best piano I have ever played, and I have played a few Steinway Model D, although mostly in college practice rooms, so they were pretty trashed in terms of action. Hope to play a good Steinway D one day. I play on my teacher's Steinway Model B at my lessons.

As someone who just fulfilled a life-long dream of owning a CS series synth by buying a CS-60 and really enjoys his FS1R, it was great to see all the old synths! Thanks Steve!

2018 - Moog One released - $7999.00 list
2028 - New multidimensional synthesis method-based synth released by Yamaha - everyone sells their Moog One for $800
2033 - Everyone now thinks multidimensional synthesis sounds too thin, sterile, and sounds are overused. Keyboardists long for warm analog sounds
2024 - Vintage Moog Ones now selling for $25,000
Seriously though, hope is sounds as good as it looks and its specs say.

Saw him last year at the Ardmore Music Hall. Great show, and he's such an excellent and tasteful Hammond player. Talked Hammond with him at the break. A really friendly and nice guy.

Thanks guys! I played one in the store, and fell in love with it. The action is amazing. Never thought one would show up at the door.
I did ask about the CFX "street price". Apparently, when you reach that level, there really isn't much of a street price.

Though they may not be as rare of some of the other synths, I always wondered about the Crumar DS-1 and DS-2 synths. They followed the aesthetic of the other Crumar keys in their day (like the T1 and T2 organs), but they always looked a bit odd to me. Never got a chance to play one. One of the first DCO synths.

Besides the new songs I need to learn for my band, I've been listening to random stuff, like Dopapod and old school Larry Fast (Synergy).

...cover more synth sounds. Added a Nord Wave and a minty Access Virus ...
Not so bad for a "just needed a few more synth sounds" purchase!
Was saving up for a Prophet 6, but got both for a lot less, and they add more capabilities.

New band called for some new (used) boards to cover more synth sounds. Added a Nord Wave and a minty Access Virus kc for crazy low $$.

That is so funny! I know dudes in 1984 who sold off most of their rig to buy that setup (replace KC amp with a Peavey).
I'm not old! I've just been in a bad mood for the last 30 years!
