I was wondering if Aussie pie was slang for something else so I did a little research.
According to Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) the meats allowed in a meat pie are beef, buffalo, camel,

Tasty though I'm sure the Aussie pies are, I think I'll stick to good old American Pie.
Some Aussie pies dont have meat at all - they use something called 'textured protein'.
But see here, and look in 'commercials' on the rhs, then the bottom left (restaurant.mpg) - very 'Aussie'.
(Edit to add - now that was a nostalgic trip for me - the bus one in particular - the song is almost our national anthem, up there with 'Skippy the Bush Kangaroo')

The other end of the clothes dryer wormhole is in my sock drawer. I have about 15 black socks there, all different.
Oh, and Collingwood lost again on Saturday, after leading in the first 3 quarters. I don't know how they do this so often.
