  1. Not really my music, but I did a session for Soultone Cymbals a while back. It was a fun hang. I had played with Derrick before, but didn't know the others. Still, there was a vibe and I think it came out reasonably well, considering we hadn't played together before. From setup to driving off we did the whole thing in about 3 hrs. 2. @Aspen: are you (or is the SpaceStation) at the AES convention?
  3. The album I have been listening to most lately is Tatiana Mayfield's debut album. Independent release from a Texas jazz singer, love her voice and style. Her music may not be new, but it certainly is fresh! https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/a-portrait-of-ladymay/id548459694
  4. Congrats on the gig, Linwood! The first of many more (and even higher-profile) to come, no doubt!
  5. This one started life in 2003, during the Kenya years. Originally titled 'Balcony', because I'd come out on the balcony in the morning and watch the neighborhood come to life. That vibe always stuck with me, and it came out like this. This jam was done in 2006 on my FantomX7, and the guitar was done by Yohei Nakamura in 2009.
  6. Wild guess: No aftertouch?
  7. Thanks, Steve! That means a lot coming from you.
  8. I have been working on this thing for the KC Compilation CD, but wanted to share in advance. It's an arrangement of one of my favorite Beatles songs "And I love her". I did everything with keyboard and computer, but for the CD I hope to get some heavy guys to redo the bass and guitar solos. Something went wrong with the mp3 conversion and the limiter destroyed the sound but the idea is there. Hope you enjoy. Reharm: Beatles "And I love her"
  9. No kidding. I LOL'd... This. Obviously.
  10. FFS, and now you're killing me with your recording chain! Is that the Mercury 1272 reissue? (Sorry to the other for taking this off-topic, I'll shut my trap after this.)
  11. Linwood, stop killing me! How do you record your harmonica?
  12. Seriously, Steve, you should mail a link to EastWest and have them listen to it. I'd be very surprised if they do not want you to do some demos for them! (And perhaps they'd want to endorse you as well).
  13. Shucks, now I'm really curous about that Coakley thread. If it is not added, can you at least pm me a link? In more recent times I thought that the 'Keyboard Stereotypes' and 'Order of the 88' threads had some good ideas.
  14. Great drummers spoil you, lousy drummers spoil everything else.
  15. Awesome, Lin! Although I am not too enamored of the sax patch. But a great piece of music nonetheless.
  16. @beeboss: that's totally awesome!
  17. Hey Linwood, that's kewl. What notation software do you use? Finale or Sib?
  18. Hats off, Steve! Funny, that quote of "All the things you are" towards the end.
  19. That's awesome, Dave F! +1
  20. Your W&R is off the chain, Carlo!
  21. I can't stand "Days of wine and roses", always hated it, like Carlo. But Steve, that's sick! And Linwood, that was sweet. I was forced to do a polite arrangement of this song for singer Nina Ebbenhout, and this is what I came up with. http://www.divshare.com/download/7374311-b4d
