  1. This defeats the purpose of having control pedal jacks on the FA's rear panel. It's obviously a software omission. I can easily toggle between tones on my 25 year old Ensoniq VFX using a footswitch. I'd say it'd be nice if Roland added this function in an update...but then the chances of that happening...
  2. That's what I suspected. The sample pads can't help when my hands are full :-\ Thanks
  3. As I don't own a FA, do any current FA users know whether you can toggle patches (tones...) on or off within a studio set through the control jacks? I've skimmed through the manual but can't find anything alluding to that possibility. Thanks for your feedback.
  4. Because dissection is the key to better ear training. However, I agree with your notion of "missing the spirit of the forest". Though I don't think that's anyone's intention here.
  5. For sure it is, but I doubt you need the Vent w/ the upgraded HX3 anymore. I ´d see the combo as an alternative though. A.C. If the above audio references are anything to go by, I'd say the internal HX leslie still doesn't cut it. The Neo Vent combo is without question the route to go.
  6. Don't mean to hijack this very worthy thread...and correct me if I'm misreading but, is this an insult to pianists? If so, do we really need to read this here?
  7. The idea comes across but there are several wrong notes in all three videos. Still, nice of the YouTuber to slow down what he's playing.
  8. Nonsense...there are no overdubs here. With a little practice, this isn't a difficult line to play. If you're still in doubt, do a YouTube search for Boston's live version (or instructional version) and you'll see (hear) for yourself.
  9. Hmmm..... I just happen to glance through the transcription. I learned this by ear and for some reason I hear the last two notes of the triplet in measure 7 as being reversed. I play those notes as Ab, C, Eb.... a definate reversal from the decending pattern. edit; nevermind.... went back and listened to the album, the transcription is correct. The above transcription is pretty good. However, I do hear the descending line differently as shown below: http://s1.postimage.org/6kcveluwf/Foreplay_intro_descent.png
