  1. Most enjoyable Scott! Fine playing and well thought out pieces.
  2. Yes, very kool for live applications.
  3. These sound interesting, I want to try the String Reviver: www.mcsystemsmusic.com
  4. Agent-XBR nice! very clean, has a `well composed` feel and good phrase choices. .
  5. that looks more like an angel dust inspiration...ouch.
  6. Wow, Eastwood-I ran into them at the Tokyo Music Instrument Fair-which by the way, was supposed to be happening in November this year but for unexplained reasons has been postponed till 2014. Quite so, here is the Eastwood version-they didn`t even change the name: http://www.eastwoodguitars.com/index.php/eastwood-guitars/all-eastwood-guitars/solid-body-guitars/item/breadwinner
  7. I recall liking the look of those when they were current too- still do but haven`t seen one in ages.
  8. I`ve seen that-that is not dancing, it`s trying to keep from falling down
  9. By then it`s already to late to worry about the wallet.
  10. I`ve been a paid wordsmith at times-comes in handy
  11. Ya and sorry, the idea that they don`t have an army of customer service people-so what. That should make it easier for both hands to be on the same butt, ya know?
  12. All that for a `gee sorry` and here`s your money back. No freakin way would that fly here. The guy who sells you stuff that doesn`t work will show up at your door-with his manager-and give you a new one, along with a bouquet of flowers or a box of biscuits. I bought a pair of shoes in Bangkok, went to the beach for a few days and discovered they didn`t fit like I thought. Five days later I told the store person and asked for an exchange, no receipt. No problem.
  13. I think it`s just at the next bend over...
  14. The Tokyo Music Instrument Fair is coming in early November. If I see a TC rep I`ll let him know about this sordid mess if he doesn`t already. Another blow against the inept empire...
  15. Ya, what an ambush-so much for the idea that someone with a reputation to protect will go the extra mile. These guys never even made it to the finish line. Even worse, I had one of their chorus pedals high on my want list-the key word being `had`.
  16. I think we could still call this kind of news going viral, but more in the original sense of a virus-we`re all getting sick from the same company haha...
  17. Holy crap, I just read this entire thread. Unbelievable, my take on TC just took a monkey wrench to the head...
  18. Couldn`t sign off without mentioning Basslab- haven`t tried one yet, maybe this fall: http://www.basslab.de/
  19. OK, that IS a baritone then. Always wanted one of those. At various times Fender has made Tele or Strat baritones, but never at a point that I had an excess of cash on hand. This one would require an excess-the cheapest one is about $2,500 new and that one is standard 22 frets: http://www.harrysjp.com/guitar/zone-bn.htm However this one is actually listed as a baritone-hence the name Zone-B. Also a headzup-there is a U.S. builder also using the name Dragonfly, not the same guitars at all: http://dragonflyguitars.com/wp/
  20. Yup-capo at the 5th fret and you`re in standard. my two main questions were, whether regular strings would be long enough, and what do you put it in. I haven`t seen any case for it. Ya, the length gives it a feel like a banjo or shamisen, like the fretboard is narrower than it actually is. Definitely at the head of my `next guitar` list. One thing is, if anything happens to it-cost of replacement plus airfare. One thing about a lot of Japanese companies is, they are indifferent about expanding. I could see a demand for these, but they don`t even have a website.
  21. Not a baritone. I absolutely loved playing this guitar. They are not cheap, otherwise I would very likely have one. Wait a minute, what am I saying-what I`m trying to say is, it uses the same strings as a regular guitar. But it`s not in standard tuning because of the extra frets. The lowest note on the low string is a B.
  22. Here ya go... http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a236/skipclone1/Guitars%20and%20music/1259135937_tmp_img-Y25160448.jpg
  23. Standard tuning, not baritone? That's long. Does it feel substantially longer than a Fender neck? I'll bet ease of playing upper frets is great, but wonder about certain 1st position chord voicings being more of a stretch. Standard tuning and it feels like the longest neck ever. Lower position chords take a bit of getting used to but I didn`t find it too difficult, in fact what I mostly thought about was strings. It leaves less of the string at the end, no need to clip them and for those used to a lot of winds, can`t do it. But it`s fun, extended runs and drop tune songs, without an extra string.
  24. Here`s one, Dragonfly Guitars from Osaka. 26.2 inch scale length-I`ve played one they are a lot of fun: http://www.digimart.net/images/1122/DS01960902.jpg Here`s a custom version, note the clear pickguard: http://www.digimart.net/images/721/DS01963135_1.jpg
  25. Nice sounds there Raindoggs- got a buddy here from Dallas, his band and I have collaborated a couple of times.
